I° itinerario

The first place to visit, following the Francigena Road in the south of Lazio, is certainly the Roman Castles, which represent the whole country and town of the Albanian Hills. A brief journey through the past through the numerous archaeological evidence. We meet CASTELGANDOLFO, the current residence of the pontiff, where you can visit the ruins of Domizia's villa and immerse yourself in the nature admiring the lake.
Continuing welcomes us ALBANO LAZIALE. The city, in addition to keeping important testimonies of Latin civilization (the tankers, the Severian amphitheater, the caracalla's baths,Temple of Santa Maria della Rotonda) is part of the Regional Park of the Castelli Romani. By taking a small detour from VIA APPIA, we can visit a characteristic village of NEMI overlooking the homonymous lake. Interesting is the visit to the ROMA'S MUSEUM OF SHIPS, which is adjacent to the lake.

In the town of ROCCA DI PAPA it is worth to visit a stretch of a beautiful Roman basilica
THE WAY THE SACRASE leading to the summit of the mountain where was the LAZIALE YOUTH TEMPLE, and where it is possible (and only chance) to see the LAKE OF NEMI and THE LAKE OF ALBANO.

Then you get to

Proseguendo ci accoglie ALBANO LAZIALE.
